Walt Cochran was named Cross Country Coach of the Year by the Greater Kansas City Cross Country Coaches Association after leading his team at Gardner-Edgerton (KS) High School to the Kansas 6A state championship last fall. He is currently in his 23rd year of teaching AP history at the high school.
